Help me continue my studies!

Hello everyone,

My name is Patricia Aguabella, I am a mother and I run a single-parent home.

Since the birth of my daughter, I have walked the wonderful path of motherhood, pregnancy, natural and spiritual birth, and care of mothers and babies.My training as a psychologist taught me the importance of the first years of life in the emotional and physical health of the rest of life.

I have dedicated myself to learning and serving from the traditional midwifery, to the extent that it is possible. There is an aspect of my work that often makes me feel the limit that my profession offers when it comes to protecting the integrity of the babies that I accompany to be born. This especially when I have to transfer a mother and we don't know who the pediatrician will be and their way of practicing pediatrics.

When I see that the babies I received and whose mothers I accompanied have a natural preparation , conscious, loving, who cannot find pediatricians who have similar parenting values and who are full of generalized practices, I feel a great emptiness.

For these and other reasons, today at 45 years old, I am studying the 1st semester of Medicine, one day I will be the midwife who is also a pediatrician!!!

Traditional midwives in Costa Rica live thanks to the value that the community gives us, the value they give to the service we provide, the The State does not promote us, it makes us invisible and even demonizes us.

This is why, in order to continue my studies and be able to serve my community in a more comprehensive way, I ask for your financial collaboration so that I can register for the next semester and continue with my degree, which I will tell you in passing, is going very well for me!!! The amount I am requesting only covers tuition and two subjects because to serve my mothers, I cannot study full time.
